911LS is the totally plausible story of Austin (TX) Fire Department leadership, decimated by disaster, visiting NYC - because everyone knows they are wicked smart up there, and diverse, to hire a new chief. And just so everyone is clear, its not to make Austin FD the very best in the country, but the most diverse. Because naturally, diversity trumps quality.

Owen Strand, played by the aging hunk, Rob Lowe, is a proven firefighter who helped rebuild FDNY after 9/11. His experience post tragedy should be sufficient, but the Austin rep wants to shock those Austin rednecks into the 21st century with the wokest FD on the planet. If that weren't enough pressure, his fabulously out and proud son is also a firefighter, an opioid addict, and attempts suicide after being rejected by another out and proud man in the very first episode. But even with all that, the sadistic screenwriters infect Strand with early stage lung cancer, fallout from 9/11 - AND a rapidly receding hair line - I'm not joking.

To help resolve all of those issues, father and son move to Austin, Texas, to show us hayseeds just how to hold our hoses.

The hiring montage takes us on a nationwide quest to find the wokest firefighters in the country.

Natacha Karam as Marjan Marwani, the misunderstood female Muslim, who plays by her own rules.
Brian Michael Smith as Paul Strickland, a trans man who wants to be free to live as he/she desires, and as a diversity bonus, he is an African American with wicked threat assessment skills.
Julian Works as Mateo Chavez, the severely dyslexic kid who must keep his job or be deported.
Jim Parrack, of True Blood fame, as the sole survivor of the explosion that killed the former team. He suffers from PTSD, and although married to an African American dispatcher, he is the obligatory red neck/racist of the bunch.

Liv Tyler, sheds her Elvish immortality, to play EMS captain Michelle Blake, and a possible love interest of Rob Lowe.

One of their first calls is to settle a dispute between neighbors, a family cooking Barbacoa in their backyard, and an elderly woman who plays the evil racist. When she feigns a heart attack, her racism/worldview prevents any of the crew from rendering mouth-to-mouth. All this is done to prove what a backwater state Texas is, and that if it weren't for the outreach of Hollywood, exposing and enlightening us, can we ever march forward into the Utopia that awaits..

Its somewhat comical that this show would be based in Austin, the most progressive city in Texas. But I still take offense to everything about the show. This is an attack on Texas, Christians, and Conservatism. And, I am simply tired of the same narrative coming forth from the national media in both NYC/LA. I lived in NJ for a year, and have traveled often for business and pleasure to both cities. I have found that racism exists just as much in the studios of LA, as they do in the NYC office buildings. The tension, and even violence exists on the street wherever cultures or economic differences clash.

I find it humorous that Hollywood still thinks that Texans are automatically homophobic. And that if it weren't for the wisdom of actors and producers, we would never know who they are, and how racist/homophobic we really are. My very first agency job, I had a homosexual boss. My second job, I had a lesbian boss. We worked together just fine. As a Christian, I'm called to love. God will ultimately do the judging. I have no hate in my heart for anyone lost in sin. Quite the contrary, like God, I want all folks saved, so they may enjoy His love. (1 Timothy 2:1-4)

Not everyone is a Christian, or thinks like me. However, I betcha Texans are far more tolerant of social deviation than most places. We love LIBERTY. As long as you aren't attempting to harm us, Texans will stay out of your business. Not all states and metro areas can say that.

America's Final Solution

Historians tell us that approximately 11 million people were killed by the Nazis in death camps, and by human experimentation. Much of Germany, and often many folks in occupied nations, willingly participated in pogroms to capture, intimidate, or murder Jews. Other groups shipped to the death camps included the Romanis, Christian Poles, communists, homosexuals, Soviet POWs, and the mentally and physically disabled. How did these people become so indifferent to human suffering, and such willing accomplices in the torture and murder of their fellow citizens on such a grand scale?

Socialist policies always begin under the guise of good intentions. Such was the case in Germany in the 1880s, when Bismark laid the framework for socialized medicine. After World War I, the German government started providing medical services for all citizens. As private practice faded, where the patient and doctor decided the best path forward, there now emerged a public model where government decided what was best. The needs of the patient became secondary to the needs of the state.

The expanding welfare state led to economic crisis, and the state had to identify ways to reduce spending. Health care had to be rationed. Every decision was carefully analyzed from a cost-benefit standpoint. Those worthy would get the best care. Those unworthy were allowed to suffer or die. This new "political health care" gave birth to policies and concepts that borrowed heavily from Charles Darwin's concept of natural selection. Taking this concept further, people in power would decide who was important to society, and who was considered expendable.

Throughout the civilized world, "intellectuals" embraced the concept of eugenics. Its leadership promised a better world through selective breeding, sterilization, or eradication of those they decided were inferior to themselves. In Nazi Germany, the idea of the master race and the extermination of anyone considered inferior, reached its zenith. However, similar concepts took root in many places, including North America.

Margaret Sanger was a champion of eugenics in the United States, targeting those classes and races that she deemed unworthy for extermination. Her plan was more subtle than Adolf Hitler. Instead of death camps, she sought to abort the untermenschen into oblivion. Her slaughterhouses were built almost exclusively in black and poor areas to eradicate those she considered inferior. Her campaign against African Americans was known as The Negro Project, and continues to this day, albeit buried by the propaganda.

Whether it is called family planning or women's health care, Planned Parenthood and others in the abortion business have one primary mission, the destruction of life. They continue Sanger's legacy, killing almost 1,000 black babies a day in 2008. Abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States. Since 1973, America's abortion industry has murdered nearly 60 million babies from all races! That is a whole generation of athletes, entertainers, professors, preachers, teachers, soldiers, mothers, fathers, scientists, doctors, lawyers, and maybe even an honest politician or two. 60 million is more people than the total population of all but 23 of the largest nations.

A series of undercover videos revealed yet another evil lurking behind the abortion industry. They routinely dissect and sell body parts of their victims for profit. Did America rise up and say stop these savages? No. They were more concerned about a hunter killing a lion in Africa. What is wrong with this nation?

Cecile Richards as the President of Planned Parenthood, is paid over $500,000 dollars annually working at this "nonprofit" that murders babies and sells their organs for profit. And, makes every American an accessory to infanticide by demanding taxpayer money to fund their slaughterhouses to the tune of $540 million in 2013. And just for good measure, they launder their blood money to the Democrat party and fellow travelers in the political arena to the tune of $30 million from 1989 through 2014. So, not only are Americans of faith, and those with any sense of morality, forced to support such heinous practices, but their hard-earned tax dollars also support a political party intent on further destruction of this nation.  And with that kind of money, its no surprise so many candidates act so willingly ignorant when it comes to what abortion really does to a child, not to mention the mother, both physically and emotionally.

As evil as abortion is, it is only a symptom of an even greater evil that is destroying the very fabric of this nation. The whole idea behind "family planning" and similar government outreaches is to teach folks that the family is an antiquated institution. It encourages promiscuity and low self-esteem that leads to even more abortions and greater dependency on the state. Abortion devalues life. If a baby in the womb is just tissue to be sold to the highest bidder, then what value does the severely disabled, or senior in an assisted living facility have?

In this brave new world the left has created, the state replaces God. And if the state is the highest power, they have every right to determine who lives, and who dies, whether in the womb, or simply because some government bureaucrat determines they are not worth saving. We see this already in play with our Veterans who are being denied and delayed in their efforts to get health care. Most simply die while waiting. How long before seniors and the disabled are slow-played into early graves, or euthanized by compassionate and compliant socialists?

America is $18 TRILLION in debt and growing, with no sign that anyone in Washington is serious about cutting spending, or shrinking government. Like Germany in the early 20th century, the state has slowly taken over health care. Its only a matter of time before reality sets in that the state CANNOT provide health care for everyone. Rationing will become necessary, followed by some unelected bureaucrat making heath care choices for all. The choices will seem rational at first, until your group is denied care. In a time when the IRS targets Conservative groups, or the state harasses and intimidates Churches and Christian-owned businesses, would it be that surprising to see these same actions applied to health care? When this same government openly identifies Christians and those that stand up for freedom as potential enemies of the state, it seems we are not that far away from America's Final Solution.

 And before you totally dismiss this post, or the comparison, I ask that you check out this fascinating article that traces Germany's health care system from Bismark to Hitler. America needs to change its ways before it repeats the mistakes of the past.

Today we are concerned about issues such as doctor-assisted suicide, abortion, the use of fetal tissue, genetic screening, birth control and sterilization, health-care rationing and the ethics of medical research on animals and humans. These subjects are major challenges in both ethics and economics at the end of the twentieth century. But at the beginning of the twentieth century the desire to create a more scientific medical practice and research had already raised the issues of euthanasia, eugenics, and medical experimentation on human subjects. In addition, the increasing involvement of the German government in medical care and funding medical research established the government-medical complex that the National Socialists later used to execute their extermination policies.

Its time the Progressives and Socialists on the Left take a long hard look at their actions and ask themselves, "Are we the baddies?"
