Granola Day At The UN...

Nothing but fruits, nuts and flakes at the UN today including our dear leader. Here are some highlights!

Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi, one of the many despots allowed to speak, had these words of wisdom:

"How can we be happy about the world security if the world is controlled by four or five powers?"

And then,

"It should not be called the Security Council, it should be called the Terror Council."

Pulling out his tin foil he added,

"Perhaps this swine virus may be one of those viruses that was created in the laboratory and it went out of control because it was meant in the beginning to be used as a military weapon."

Not to be outdone, Obama put it all on the line with some deep thoughts for the world.

"Responsibility and leadership in the 21st century demand more. In an era when our destiny is shared, power is no longer a zero-sum game. No one nation can or should try to dominate other nation. No world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will succeed."

Yep, America is leader of the free world no more. We're just like every other worthless little dictatorship. He even threw Israel under the bus with this radical departure in American policy towards Israel (emphasis mine).

"We continue to call on Palestinians to end incitement against Israel. And we continue to emphasize that America does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements."

And of course you just knew he had to plug the global warming hoax.

"The danger posed by climate change cannot be denied. Our responsibility to meet it must not be deferred. If we continue down our current course, every member of this assembly will see irreversible changes within their borders."

Scary!

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, along with other leftist leaders in South America, demanded that Honduran law and the will of its people be ignored.

"The international community demands that Mr. Zelaya immediately return to the presidency of his country."

The closing act was Iranian President Imamadnutjob who offered these parting words.

"Our nation has gone through a glorious and fully democratic election, opening a new chapter for our country in the march toward national progress and enhanced international interactions entrusted me once more with a large majority."

I'll be here all week. Be sure and tip your waitresses and bartenders!"

The United Nations started as a noble dream of nations discussing and solving disputes in a civilized manner. Now its more like a big bowl of granola - flakes, fruit and nuts. Why is the "President" of Iran, Libya or any 3rd world dictatorship taken seriously. I mean really.

Maybe its time to cut off funds and send all these baby blue beret wearing leftists packing.
